The USA have imposed duties on aluminium and steel and the Chinese have responded with a barrage of duties on sensitive basic US products, such as beef, pork and fruit. It remains to be seen where this ends, but certainly we should look to see which products we can supplement in those markets as USA and Chinese markets become less receptive to each other, and consequently more receptive to trade from other countries.
